This is the first time I had seen this done but it looks like the car may never get finished. Has anyone else done this? I would like to get my car as close to the ground as possible and this looks like a good way to achieve that. It would also help a ton with room to put the exhaust. I think my only problem is Im 6' 2" or 3" depending on how much water I drank that day. If I were to mounts the seats almost directly to the floor would I still have room for my head and a helmet?

You might do a search on "body drop", a lot of the lowered truck guys do it. It seems like a lot of work if your floors are in good condition, if you need full pans then maybe I'd consider it. Instead of a body drop have you thought about extending your rockers? I've seen several first gens with extended rockers that looked good when done subtly.

Here is an example of the extended rockers that I mentioned. Sorry I don't know who owns the car to give credit, but I took these pictures at the last GNRS.

Yes. But the article is from August of 2010. As far as I can tell, Frank has successfully pulled off an Amelia Earhardt--fallen off of the face of the planet, never to be heard from again.
