quick question. replace ignition lock cylinder or switch?

My ignition is starting to not spring back from the start position, do I have to replace the lock cylinder or the ignition switch itself? stupid question, I know.

As long as there’s nothing binding . The return spring that returns the key to the run passion is in the electrical part of the switch

thanks anthony, it ended up being the ignition switch bezel was just too tight, I loosened it up a tad and she springs back. thanks again.
