Holy Crap! Did you see the size of the wheels on the back of that Mustang? I only caught the end of the show but they either started with a PS car or mini tubbeb the sheet out of it! Not sure I have seen them tub a car on the show before...

Did anyone else see Mike from American Hotrod and Charley too?!! I only saw the end and I know I saw them both.
Were they a big part of the episode? It was a cool car though..nicely done.

mike was in the begining with mht doing the wheels, and charlie painted the car cause they needed the best, mike was in show more then charley, they basically just showed charley spraying the car.
the wheels i do not know exact size but were 22 inch on the rear, most of them were impressed with condtition and previous work done to car

I dont know if she was annoying, I was blinded by her hotness. I only caught the last 20 minutes, but she looked better then Courtney.

The car looked good, but the 22s were too much.

I loved the car except for the size of the back wheels.. 22's are just silly, 20's would have been fine and not made the car look like a Muscle Machine..

Other than that the Mustang was mondo bitchen.. where is that drool smilie? I got a couple of ideas for my '67..

Steve,

I agree. The size of those rear wheels makes it look like one of the dub city toys at walmart. They looked a little too large but other than that the car itself looked awesome.
Are you gonna do up the mustang like that?

Later,

Kurt

A real life Jada Big Time Muscle if you ask me. Nicely done. For a real car, I wouldn't put 22's on it either though. They're just too big. The new co-host is pretty good looking but not as interesting as Courtney. If I see her at SEMA I'll be sure to call her "Courtney 2.0" if I meet her. :naughty: So how long did it take them anyway? For a while it sounded like it took them more than 7, but then they said they got it done just in time. It was kind of confusing I think.

Bad ass car, girl was ok...but can she dance?
Too big I agree but I think it fits with the previously tubbed body.

 Ain't that the truth.

She wasn't too bad, but you could tell she was trying. I enjoyed the show for once as they did not make a big issue out of the prank or really yank him around except at the very end. Definitely a nice fastback. I would have scaled the rear wheels down to, but I would bet he would not have gone that far if there wasn't a big hole to fill already.

You know I guess there's a couple things I could pick at on the car like the oversized rear wheels but ya know I was really drooling over the car. I bet that thing is simply amazing to see AND hear in person. Being a Mustang freak like myself I think made it even more exciting to see something that radical. It's about time they did something with some kind of a tub to it so they could put some ridiculous beef under the rear. I guess the rears were a little over the top in wheel size but hey it's TV.

I loved the wheels, I thought they looked killer. I think it needed that size to fill out the extended wheels wells since it had the pro-street look before.

Did anybody see Tony's '69 Camaro on Rides? I saw it ripping down the 1/4 and had a couple of engine shots.

that car looked cool, it wasnt as girly as some of their other cars.

kmcanally
08-24-2005, 03:31 AM
that car was sweet....someone mentioned that it looked like the Muscle Machine toys they sell at WallMart...and it really does. Instead of the overly tall package it would have looked even better with some 19" 345's.

I agree 100%! The car looked great but, it would have looked better with a shorter wheel on the back. I don't get why guys are putting these tall A$$ wheels on their cars. I think they look terrible. I know, everyone has their own opinion.

I had absolutely NO problem with the wheels. If your going to stuff that wide of a tire on the back, it had better have the diameter to offset it. In my opinion anyway.

I loved the car.....done the way a Pro-Street SHOULD be done. The body effects were killer too. I certainly wouldn't cry if it were in my garage.

Oh....and I'll take the girl too, she had a nice trunk on her.

New girly is purdier en the old un!
I thought when she talked it was fine. All she said was...
"Come here sweetie and use your &*#@ ()$@ )!@# on me!"
If she was saying anything else I didn't hear it.

I didn't get to see the entire episode......personally I loved the car, it is by far the coolest car they have built on the show! I loved the color scheme and the wheels!

Steve there was 22's on the Bobby Alloway car....you didn't like it either???? :dunno:

The sick Fish and Chicayne are both rollin on 19's and 22's as well....???? :yum:

Well a Challenger is a bigger car so it didn't look so "cartoonie".. Personally I like 20's tops.. The bigger the car the bigger you can get away with on the wheels before it starts to look like a caricature. Camaros and Mustangs should stick with 20's top (IMO)..

Did the mustang look badass?? hell yea.. and I would drive it with pride the way it sat. I really dug the spoke design on the wheel and I hope they offer them for sale.. very cool..

Anyone catch Foose freehanding a round hole in the hood? That was pretty cool.. It was nice watching them do a '67 since that is what I just bought although mine is a lowly coupe..

One other thing.. how could you NOT know you are on Overhauling?? I mean when you start seeing Supermodels and Midgets that should be a giveaway, shouldn't it?

In times of stress, i.e. when dealing with pretty women, arguments, lost dreams cars, etc, a persons ability to put the "pieces" of the puzzle together are hindered. That must be the answer. Like trying to avoid an accident, you're supposed to "pump" the brakes for a more efficient stop, but good luck trying to do it when you need it!

I really liked the wheels, possibly the best design by Foose. The brushed finish and polished hoops....great contrast against a black car. Sweeeeeet!

Is this the next generation of Pro-Street?

Yes I think you will see one pro-street car after another making the change to the big rollers....We have a set on order now for a truck!

A very nice build over all. There may yet be hope for this season after all.

It had 20's in the front and 22's on the rear. I was curious as to the size of the rubber they used as the sidewalls didn't look too thin.

You guys confirmed that I wasn't halucinating and did see Mike and Charley on that episode. I think they used them "sparingly" as to not flaunt them in front of Boyd...

Agreed on the gal..."Courtney 2.0" is so appropriate. Makes you wonder if she's trying to imitate Courtney or if she's really that annoying.

This is definately where pro street should be going. I am on the fence about the wheel size, the 22's looked too big in some shots but at other angles they looked killer. I agree with most of you that this was the nicest car Foose has done on this show.

They only looked too big when they showed the shot of them dwarfing the disc brakes behind them!!

The 22's were a bit much, 20's would have been better suited for the Mustang. That chic was much hotter the Courtney and I would agree how could you not know your on Overhaulin'. I bet they have been busted in the past and told them to play along for TV purposes.

What about the opposite , some guy in california has his car stolen for real, he thinks its being overhauled and then it sinks in that its actually gone. I would shoot myself.

This is a little off topic but i worked with a guy whose birthday was coming up. He was also about to be fired. He noticed people whispering around him and asked me "tell me the truth - are they planning a surprise party for me?"
