Folks, what the ideal motor mount type/position for 5.3 lsx swap into a 65 chevelle? I see various after market mounts with various options such as stock, forward, and back 2inches? Im running a 4l60e, possibly with shorties. Trying to get motivated to get this thing back on the road. Thnx

I've also got the same situation but it's a 70, from what I understand dirty dingo mounts are the best and of course the further back you can mount the engine the better do to just balance. Less over the front wheels and more over the rear.like most things thou I'm sure it's way easier said then done. So I'd get the engine and transmission in the car with the mounts and adjust the positioning from there

I am using Edelbrock mount in my 70 GTO, but, they are no longer made. They position the engine so that the bellhousing is in exactly the same position that it was with a SBC or BBC. I believe that the Holley mounts do the same.
I would caution against moving the engine too far back. With the heads being close to the firewall, it will be hard to remove the transmission if it needed to be serviced.
