I'm rather new to posting on a form,My Question is about tire pressure at a autocross event ? I not sure If I'd bee better off dropping the pressure to about 30lbs "for more grip" or fill them to minimize tire rool ??? the car a 72 chevelle w/Nitto 245/45z17 front and 275/40/z18 rear.Any help would be appreciated

Big trick is too understand that the higher the tire pressure, the looser the car will get. While having the alignment maximized adjusting air pressure can tighten or loosen the car up. Car tries to get loose in back ,drop tire pressure a pound or two.
One good book to read is How to make your car handle by Fred Puhn http://www.amazon.com/How-Make-Your-Car-Handle/dp/0912656468/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372559689&sr=8-1&keywords=how+to+make+your+car+handle
GREAT book.
