No regrets on my manual setup but I don't road race or autocross. If I were to do either I would want power assist. But for the street it's great.

I used the Ultimate Headers longtubes on my '79 with Hooker engine mounts and they were dead even with the bottom of the subframe. They were great.

Your builder should know how to set the ride height. His mounts will determine the shock length. This is normal practice for any chassis build.

I'm going down Monday and can discuss that, but in any case I'll still need to know the correct ride height.

I'd redo it. When you know something is wrong, it'll keep bothering you like a small stone in your shoe.
