      You mean the 31st Doug?

There are only 8-9 cars running in the Handling Challenge this year so we should get out of Irvine at a decent hour. If all goes well and no parts are broke we will be headed to Riverside.

You guys really don't want to miss next Tuesday so make sure to be there.

Hey everyone, I'm not sure that I'll be able to make it this Tuesday (class and an SAE meeting) but I think you guys should consider next weekend's autocross at the Great Labor Day Cruise at the Orange County fairgrounds. There's another thread in this section already promoting it. Here's a link:

Yea, basically. Last year I got there at 11 AM and got 40 runs in before 4 PM, a huge contrast to the 3 runs I got at Goodguys i May. I imagine it will be more crowded this year, but it's the best bang for the buck that I've gotten to date.

The Malice Malibu will be in attendance this Tuesday. It will be at the Labor Day too.

So is there a tech inspection before you race?
And do you have to bring your own helmet or do they provide you with one?

...im almost done with questions here....
Do you have to call up and make a reservation to run in a session, or just is it just forst come first serve?

There is a tech inspection, but it's not very hard to pass. Whereas my Trans Am would fail a drag racing inspection for too much rubber fuel line, I have no such problem at AMP. If your battery hold down isn't the best, bring a roll of tape to tape the terminals with.

Adam's requires a helmet, but it doesn't have to be of any particular standard. Any motorcycle helmet will work. They do, however, have helmets available to rent should you not be able to bring one.

The sessions are basically first come, first serve, but you can call ahead of time to reserve a session. Just make sure you're there in time for the actual session.
