Gas Tank for '68 Camaro LS1 Conversion
I just finished pricing the Rick's gas tanks from Jeg's, and although they are extremely nice, there has to be a much cheaper route. I was thinking of buying a repro tank and modifying it. What parts do I need to do this (fuel pump, regulator, etc.)? I would like to mount the pump inside the tank,if possible. Also, are there any sketches or drawing out there where people have modified original tanks like this. I know Tony Whatley went this route. Tony, you out there? Thanks in advance.

I used that stock pick up and drilled another 6-an hole in the tank. Then I used a 6-an fitting with nylon washers to act as a connection for the return line.
