I just use Sta bil. I put it in every tank unless I am on a longer trip as I don't know which drive may be my last for the season. I only get about a six week stretch of driving time because of spring and fall being my busy times so I just put it in and haven't had any problems yet so I guess it works.

I use Sta-bil in a car that gets driven very infrequently and has worked well for over 18 months. That and a battery buddy to keep a charge has made all the difference.

Stabil. Heard that Seafoam lasts longer though if its stored for a long time

I was wondering. Ive used stabil in everything else and its seems to work. Just getting ready to put fuel in my car for the first time. BTW, Eastwood makes some additive to stabilize fuels that have ethanol in them . Being from Cal. that is also a concern here.

I used to be a big fan of StaBil but I started noticing particulate in the bottom of the bottles after they set on the shelf for a while. In addition the original StaBil does nothing for the new ethanol blended fuels. That's when I switched to Startron. I have had small engines that were running rough actually start running smooth after a couple of tanks treated with Startron. In the past you could get by without using a fuel stabilizer but with todays ethanol blends the fuel will start phase seperation in as little as 30 days. I work for a John Deere dealership and I cannot tell you how many small engine carburetors we have replaced this spring but it has to be in the hundreds due to customers leaving untreated fuel in the machines over the winter.

Nothing... I fill up the tanks on the three cars I park and top off the mowers... Never had a problem starting any of them when the season rolls around...

Hey guys i'll join in here and say that this is just a perfect example of why I use AMSOIL. Every time I use a product I'm happy and I know who's making it. I can order with confidence and it simplifies things. This is the product I use for that. I used the Sta bil before the AMSOIL and both perform well.
