WELL, Yancy, Brian and I will be there. You let the cat out of the bag, but ASCS will be handling this first year addition to the already huge Syracuse Nationals. We are honored they picked us to run the autocross portion of their event and we hope to introduce a whole new group of people/cars to our segment of the hobby. As new things go to static car shows, the regulars may be timid to try something this harsh on their showcars, so this might be a great chance to autocross a lot of laps this year if you happen to be in the area anyway. We will be posting more on this event soon, stay tuned.

This is so cool, my friends and I are skipping the Power Tour this year in favor of doing our own little tour through the Finger Lakes, ending @ the Syracuse Nationals. I look forward to meeting some of you guys, Any Tips for a Beginner?

Awesome to hear I've followed pro touring cars for years and building a 69 firebird ls1 pt car. The pro touring Sean has not hit this area yet . Mostly just street cruiser's(boring).

Cool stuff! Is there anything going on up at Watkins Glen for track days/hpde just before or after this? That would make for a fun speed-vacation! Dan

According to the show blurb on rightcoastcars.com, it's in the parking lot.

I am here in Syracuse for this event including the JetHot autocross school tomorrow. I'm told there are spots remaining for the school so PM me or go here if you want to know more: http://rightcoastcars.com/syracuse-n...-autocross.php

I'm told there's a good chance of lots of seat time with instructors too! Don't miss out.

Also, let me know if anyone here is in town and wants to get together - should be a fun weekend!

From the JetHot folks running the school:

"Come on out for a day of fun & autocross instruction. Learn the skills to tackle an autocross course. Instructors will ride along in your car to give feedback real time on course. Class size is limited so there will be TONS of track time. Tech begins at 730am Thursday July 18 & school will end at 4pm."

I'll be there either Friday or Saturday.I won't be bringing my car. Wish I could but fuel cost from were I live to the show & back plus running the auto -x would kill my wallet. Plus God forbid should something break....If I could line up a trailer fast enough maybe then I would do it but there is little time left for that. Our soon to be family vacation has but the squeeze on the old extra money stash, so I guess I will go as a spectator again this year.
