Detroit Speed Southern Slam - Any info yet???

I see that the "Detroit Speed Southern Slam" is happening about the same time as RTOS did last year. Is this event replacing RTOS or is RTOS still happening too? Inquiring minds want to know! I'm trying to plan out my events since I'm limited to just 2-3 a year. I really enjoyed the short track at Kershaw and would love to get some help tuning my car on the big track since I'll have adjustability for the first time ever.

      Thanks in advance!

I found a little bit by researching around on the net. According to the ASCS schedule, no RTOS but Detroit Speed Southern Slam is on there in place of it. RTOS was a FUN event so if you missed it last year don't miss out this time around!! I have no doubt it'll be even better.

I really hope they run the full course at least one of the 2 days, the back straight with the kink is a blast.

I saw a note on the ASCS that said it was in April, but I accidentally deleted it before writing down the dates.

Guys, the date is set, the weekend of April 19-21. Details on the event are coming soon. Mark your calendars though, this is the correct weekend.

How do we find out if they're running the full course?

INFO and registration soon guys. Get ready Gordon, you will not be disappointed. Tell your friends too, we welcome everyone. Bring enough and we will let you have your own run group. You guys may not be eligible for the OUSCI invite if the cars are not licensed, tagged and insured, but this will be a great track day anyway.

      Bill,

Do you know if the track is going to allow onsite camping like last year? That was what really made the even for me - the savings really offset the registration fee instead of having to book a hotel.
