Building my own cage exactly how I want it to fit. Its been a helluva a bunch of work and makes this 42 yr old body sore. The bars you see here completed are all 1.75x.125 DOM and will add about 100-120lbs to the car unfortunately but I figure if it is what FIA specs, then that is how it will be based. The X and harness bar will be removable and .120 wall. The engine bars are .095 wall. Going to put .120 wall rocker bars in as well. Not going to X the doors this go around and YES, im keeping the backseat. Going with 3 point retractables for outside backseat belts and will have a 5 point in the middle.

Looking good. You planning to add a roof bar connecting the A-pillar bars?

Definitely yes. Metal shop is out of .120 wall, waiting on delivery. I am also going to add dimple died plates to the A-pillars and some kickers to the rear downtubes. Heres the dash bar....

Here are a couple of the latest. Gonna get some tube clamps to make the harness bar removable. And im thinking about a rear harness bar under the package tray for a middle position harness.

And the paint, Hammerite Dark Blue brushable.

While having my T56 apart to dial in bellhousing I decided to go ahead and install an oil sprayer for the input and countershaft bearings that starve for oil under high excelleration G's. Don't have a pump or cooler yet but figured if I get that far, the trans is ready on the outlet side anyway. Went with 8an and went to the hardware store and bought a brass pipe fitting and a weed sprayer fan nozzle for a total expense of about $30.

Wow, this thing is awesome! That Hemi looks like it could have came that way from the factory.

And to think I almost didn't click on it, for fear "heres my junk" might not be car pictures.

Thanks! This forum doesn't allow thread name changes or category moves by the user or I would change the name and move it to a build category, oh well that ship has sailed!

Love me some Hemi!!! Great build.... I think that the Dart/Swinger/Scamp are the best platforms for a pro-touring Dodge/Plymouth build from the 70's. I have Dart in my neighborhood just sitting and rotting away... owner is no where to be found.. pity

      Update
Made a video as proof of progress. Tuning a rebuilt engine with an un-used,by me, MS3 and 80 lb injectors has its challenges. But I have it idling and now its time to get it all back together for once and for all. After I figured out how to tell the ECU that the injectors are twice the size as the installed tune was calibrated for it idles like this....
