Las Vegas Super Chevy Autocross pics/vids

I'll be uploading pics/vids throughout the weekend so make sure to subscribe and check em out.

This video is from last night. The SCCA guys let us and Troy Borgen out on the track to make sure it was all good. Unfortunately, Troy had issues on his first lap and got power steering fluid under the rear tires. Luckily he kept it off the k-rail.

Guillermo from Camaro5 cooking up some burgers and dogs for everyone.

Troy Borgen before he had oil pump issues

Any car show entry gets to run the autocross so we had quite a few guys show up and run their cars for the first time.

The awards presentation for Saturday's winners was at Famous Dave's

That is a hell of a nice track, a lot better than what I saw from last year. Kind of regreting not going too!

The course was reconfigured today and it was very technical and yet still fast. Everyone got a ton of runs too. I haven't counted all of Sal's tickets yet but I'd guess he had 30 runs today alone.

Like always, car show entries get to autocross for free. We had 4 vehicles come over from the show-n-shine. A 10 second El Camino, a '57 Wagon, a '68 Chevelle and this '87 Duallie.

Another car show entry that made his way over to the autocross. These guys were having a blast.

I wish all of you guys would have been there. The attendance was so low both with participants but also spectators that it is unlikley that we will be back next year.

It was just too hard to get excited about an event on a large slab of concrete in early September in Las Vegas where the temps would normally be just a few degrees cooler than the surface of the sun. That probably took a lot of participants out of the event. Even if the weather ended up being a lot nicer than that.

That and it was 4 days after we got back from SCCA Nationals so the turnaround was a bit tight.
