If this was easy everyone would be doing it. Hope things get better for you and you can relax a little on the transit runs. We'll be at Road America on Friday. Call me if you need anything.

So you have someone driving the OLC on transit runs? Does that mean not all 3 are in the car? Interesting.

      Day 5 - Hastings, NE - 8:00 AM

Safe transit yesterday after a disappointing but still successful day at High Plains Raceway... Overall times were not great but we were first in class on both runs so we did what had to do.

Grabbing gas and hitting the track in about a half hour... More soon...

      Day 5 - Hastings

      To get caught up...

Yesterday morning Carl had to return home while we made the decision to plug on and try to finish. I won't lie... It was a daunting proposition and at this point in the week - when everyone is getting to be slightly... emotionally... unbalanced... - it was a pretty scary prospect.

I spoke to Brock and some of the other competitors and before long had a new co-driver for the transit stages. Their ride had broken the day before at Hallet and the seemed more or less sane from what I could see. With autocross and road course experience, there is also a wealth of knowledge.

      Sharing the knowledge:

Love that track. Say hello to George (Anderson) from the optima group, if you run into him. He'll be the guy in charge of the track.

I didn't know Ford made doors that swing that way?

      I hope everyone is o.k.

The mustang hit the Armco on the autocross right at the brake zone for the hairpin that I posted. The door it held on now by the catch and the safety latch - they've been trying to get if off for about a half hour. They changed the track after that one.

I finished 30th this morning on what is an AWESOME little track. First in class and moved up a couple overall (still mid 30s though).

My run this afternoon was MUCH better. I'll probably regret saying this later but I think it was one of my best runs ever on One Lap. Now watch... It will be 40th... LOL (or sigh)

Still waiting in line to run the autoX but it should be soon...

James, I saw your track run on the Top Speed Motorsports Ustream website. They packed up the camera as soon as Leh finished to get under way. I heard he has to leave to race the Brumos #59 Porsche now.

I see in the Results that James finished first in class on both road courses, but finished 3rd in the autocross. He's way ahead in points though!
Go James! We are really proud of you!
