      Vintage Wheel Works Question

I am looking into the Vintage V48s for a project in my shop and was just wanting some feedback from people that have bought from them. Just don't know a whole lot about them and want to make sure they are a quality wheel ?? Also I am going 17x8 and 17x11 and am wondering what the biggest brake and caliper combo I can fit will be .. Thanks , Mike

Their customer service is excellent. I had 16x8 V45's on my 69 and would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

I have them and I am very pleased with their wheels. Same sizes your looking at. Only complaint is I dont really like the caps that come with them so I still need to fab something up for that.

Now I have 315/35/17 rears and 235/40/17 Nitto NT05's. Those are 235/45/17 555's in the pic. The front tire is about 1" shorter now and the front is 1" lower too.

That looks great with those wheels ! Thanks for the info I appreciate it . I am definately leaning toward that setup. The price seems really reasonable too. Thanks again both , Mike !

I had 17" V45s on my El Camino, 8" in front and 9.5" in rear. The fronts cleared the C5 calipers with a 3/16" spacer. Without the spacer the weld on the inside would just touch the caliper, mainly the spot where the weld ended (slight overlap made the weld thicker at that spot). Here is side shot

VWW. One of the best bang-for-the-buck wheels out there, and a very well engineered product. I'm on my second set with many dozens of track days no them with zero problems.

Here's a side profile of V48s on my old car. Great people, awesome wheels, very reasonable prices. I had my wheels in 5 days.

These are 235/40 and 315/35s with SSBC small brakes.

Excellent company to deal with very good to discuss fitment issues with, We have purchased from them and even 2 years later they still remember us. My next set will come from them as well, no contest.
