2" DSE drop springs for 1st Gen Camaros

Have any of you installed the DSE 2" drop springs on your 1st Gen Camaros, or maybe 2nd Gen would be similar too?

If so how do you like the ride and performance of them?

      Thanks!

bump... Anyone had experience with these DSE 2" drop springs? I might run these with a 1" block depending on how it looks after I would install these...

Hey harleygolf1 I think the Nova and Camaro would be similar in suspension both rear leaf spring setup, so thanks for the info. Did you add the 1" block to give it a 3" drop total, or did you just go with the 2" drop springs and left it at that?

      Thanks for the reply Bigvin.

3" drop for the rear.....almost every set of Hotchkis 1.5" rear leafs out there is now running a block or swapped to DSE 3" or Hotchkis 3"

For the front coilover (and for themrear) is the #1 choice but also most $$$$ so either DSE or Hotchkis coils.

Feel free to PM or email for more insight, we have been selling these brands for MANY years!

Thanks for the reply Matt. From factory multi-leafs is there quite a bit of ride difference or is it about the same, or does it stiffen up a bit?

Im running the multi-leafs now and have a 1" block already in the back with the multi leafs so I could run 2" DSE springs with that block I already have in the case I went that route or ... ? Another route.

      Thanks!

The ride is "different" its hard to describe...

Its more controlled, not harsh but firm...

Stay away from blocks IF you can, its a last resort to lower the car or maybe just fine tune height.

Whenever you swap out coils or leafs you don't know what you are going to get until they are in.

The 3" drop leafs seem to be the pick for all pro-tour guys that aren't going 4 link or torque arm ect...

Ok sounds good thanks Matt. I kind of have an idea of what you mean by more controlled of a feel compared to the stock multi leafs. As long as its not so stiff that each bump is harsh like you see some of the lowered Hondas rolling around I will he happy lol

      Hey Matt,
You going to be at Sac tomorrow? I'd like to get an idea of what the DSE 3" would cost? I was at the show today down the street from the shop. Man, summer is definitely here!!!

Yea, i kno what you mean on the honda thing! Their biggest issue is suspension travel and junk parts lol!!

The ride is good, like i say i am picky as could be on ride quality and i have no issues with them.

We don't do many shows....mainly just pleasanton. I will be at the "hot august nights" sac show this year but beyond that...thats it.

      Thanks guys
