      Pro touring 69 nova rims

      hi im new to the site. im 17 and building a pro touring nova. im doing everything from paint and body work to motor and tranny. for awhile now ive been trying to figure out the widest rim and tire i can fit under the stock nova rearend... ive also been looking for ideas for rims. any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

      Here's what I have on my Nova right now:

      thanks. i was thinking about doint the Z06 rims or the ZR1 wheels. the only problem is i dont think they will look good because theres no lip. i love the look of the speed tech nova.

      i just looked and they are talking about running slicks. it kind of helped but also there talking about tires with a huge sidewall. Thanks for the help though there was some info that helped.

      I ran a 17x9.5 with 6" BS with a 275. on a stock wheelwell, stock 8.5" rear end. Dont know if they will fit with leaf springs, I have the air bar.

      i took a 295 tire and shoved it up there and it seemed to fit pretty good. so im prob gona run Z06 rims till i get more $$$$$$ for nice wheels. Thanks for the info though. every lil bit helps

      yea. once i roll the outer quarter lip it should fit fine. im not say 100% yea its going to fit for sure. but it looks like it should work.

      I would definitely suggest you take a look at some of these nova threads. Last thing you want to do is spend lots of money on tires that you end up destroying. If you are truly building a car for pro touring and not straight line you must measure twice...lol

      Here's mine. Stock width rear, 17x8 fronts with 235's, 17x11 rears with 315's, Vintage Wheel Works V48's, DSE tubs. Im working on some stuff to get 275's on the front (simliar to Tru-turn).

      hey i have a question for ya. did u do the full DSE tub kit and relocate the springs. or did u just put the tubs in to get more room? thanks
