      Oil control

Hey guys I am build a nice sbc 406 for my 67 Camaro and wanted suggestions for oil control. I was thinking Z/28 windage tray, corvette oil pan and melling oil pump.
Maybe some spirited driving and a track class or two. I wanted something stock looking but efficient. Max RPM 6K Thanks

I have had good luck with a Moroso road race oil pan in autocross. Looking at their site, the pan part numbers have changed since I bought mine, here is the current one: http://moroso.com/catalog/categorydi...?catcode=12181
The only thing to find out is will it work with your steering linkage, not sure on that.

You mention track useage. With that in mind a properly baffled pan is good bearing insurance. The Z28 pan with windage tray will not suffice during any hard cornering I'm afraid. As Randy said, a road race pan is cheap insurance.

I just put a Canton RR pan on my sbc... Works and fits great. Oil pressure doesnt budge during "spirited" driving.

I heard about that pan as well. I thought it was more than i needed. Anything in between but looks closer to stock but with internal baffles? I was going to take a rookie class at Mid Ohio for rookies to put those upgrades to the test.

The Milodon pan is close- but I still kicked the rods out at Road America with one in place. Went to the Canton pan and the bottom end is still inside the engine. That's a win...
