A helllo with slow 81 Trans Am

Hello, my name's John, I'm from Buffalo Ny and i'd like to retro-mod my slow 1981 Trans Am. Currently it has a 4.9 Liter pontiac V8 that produced a whopping 155hp. I'd like to do a 5.3 or 6.0 swap. Would like to convert to stick possibly, but that's currently out of my price range. Big rims in the future would be great too. Here's some pics of its current state.

Put 2.5inch jegs exhaust kit without mufflers and installed it with flowmasters. Here is a vid of how it sounds.

Welcome. I love Trans Am's. My first car was a 1981 TA. I have a TKO500 in my car and love it. Getting ove 18 mpg on the highway and still turn a descent time on the strip. Depending on your gear ratio (probably need a 3.23 or better) it would be a great mod for your car. really wake up your 301 with the first gear ratio.

I wouldn't spend anymore on the drivetrain but on your stance and rim situation. You've come to the right forum.
I've heard these cars are the next big thing.
