Band clamps...preformed? (stepped) Or just standard?

Bought the full Pypes dual kit and instead of using the u-clamps that make it hard to pull tubing back apart I want to do 3" band clamps. I noticed they have the standard style and a preformed since the O.D. on tubes going together will be a little different. Also anyone know where I can get them the cheapest?

I have always used the standard and then they form to the step when tightened. I don't know about price but napa keeps them.

If you are clamping a stepped pipe use the stepped clamps. There is a reason why they make two different styles. Summit sells them for under $8 each. I just ordered 6 for my exhaust.

I vote for the stepped clamps as well. Summit does have good prices on them.
