      LS7 cylinder head re-work service

Well....with all the internet hype about dropped valves in ls7 heads, I'm looking to see who is the best quality and price to send them too for rework.

I noticed the common name WCCH, but the are expensive for what they do and I don't want more porting on an already CNC ported head.

Who do you all use? I preferably hope someone in my local area can do it.

What work do you want done? Just new valves and springs and a valve job? What kind of money you looking to spend?

I just want the valve guide issue fixed and ever work that needs to done to prep them to go back on. Looking to upgrade the springs too for a mild cam upgrade.

My motor was toast when I bought it ....the heads were sent out to be checked to make sure they were good , bronze guides installed and put in stainless exhaust valves. This work has already been done and are still at the engine builders. He is now going to ship them to bo white in the states somewhere bo will be doing his magic port job that he's known for . From what I know this will get you fantastic performance and help keep some cash in you pocket verses buying some aftermarket heads

I am very pleased with the work from Advanced Induction on my LS6 heads. Phil's communication was great and they are performer's considering my mild cam.

Call Texas Speed & Performance, they rebuild a lot of LS7 heads. Full machine shop (huge facility), excellent turnaround times. They machined and assembled my full LS7.

      Tony,

There is so much internet hype out there on who to and not to take heads too.....not sure where to go. I totally know what everyone's prices are. Texas Speed did me well in the past, but why are people hesitant to go to them?

I like the idea they can do the work and set me up with a cam package.

What is the concensous here about additional porting these already awesome heads?

I'm not sure where "deployed" is located, so I don't know if these guys are local, but I used Total Engine Airflow (http://www.totalengineairflow.com/) for my head work.

I had them ported, valve work, springs, etc. which is more work than you want, but I'd give them a call and see if they can do what you want. They were very easy to work with and had a quick turn around time. I was originally going to go with Advanced Induction, but I thought communication was poor.

I would go with West Coast cyl heads.
They stand behind there work & for just a valve job and replace a guide, should not cost that much .
Also, if you send them in to whomever, there are good valve jobs and great valve jobs, there are a lot of gains CFM wise with even just a valve job and Dave knows what he is doing.
