In all honesty, Joe, that would be great but if I were to show you the amount that is the rest of my car fund I think you would just hurt yourself laughing.

I saw the driver's shaved drip rail and it looks very cool!

Yet another 1967 Camaro build thread.

Since the last update, we have started mocking up the front sheet metal and building the new valance. Mike dropped off new inner fenders and the weatherstrip ( for setting gaps) before our move, and we're getting started back on it this week.

Oops. I dropped off some pretty, shiny parts to Joe's on Saturday morning but I forgot to take any pics before I did. Maybe Joe will be gracious enough to post some teaser pics. You know - the box half open and just enough sticking out to peak your interest.

Speaker of teaser, my friend the man in the brown uniform brought me a package that said "House of Kolor" or something like that on it last week. I wonder what it could be. Looks like pixie dust.

Anyway, with me finally getting the last of the parts Joe had requested to him and with Ben (SRD art) starting this week to help Bulldawg Musclecars ramp back up after the move, Joe says he is optimistic that YAC will get moving again soon. I know I am excited and can't wait to see more progress pics!

will be good to see YAC's bodywork back in action. I'm sure Joe would like the space back from both of our projects too!

You mean this stuff? I thought you had accidentally brought some of your wife's jewelry! This stuff is almost too nice to put on a car!

How is the body stuff coming (shaved drip rails, front lower valance)? That YAC is going to be incredibly cool, but I think that front panel will really look awesome

We still have to media blast the doors (the rain cut us short last week), and get the whole front end assembled and gapped before we go any further on the valance. The hinges are on (front and rear), and I thought I had already posted pics, but that must have been on the Facebook page. I'll get them up here in the morning.

I went to the Bulldawg Musclecars' monthly meet and greet last Saturday morning and was able to take a few progress shot of the car. After hunting some parts down and getting a couple more good guys added to Joe's team, they have been able to make some good headway over the last couple of weeks. They have not started setting the gaps for the front end yet, but Joe said that was the next step and that they will be starting that step this week. Anyway, here are some pics of what the car looked like on Saturday.

Front end hung to check fitment with new doors.

      Reinforcing braces welded onto subframe.

      Pretty new hood hinges.

      Shaved drip rail (in progress).

      Beginnings of modified front valance.

      Modified cowl.

I am so happy to it resembling a real car again. Even seeing it in this shape made me remember how much I love the lines of the '67-'68 Camaros. Thanks to Joe, Jeremy, Curt, Ben and Eric for all your hard work. I can't wait to see the progress next!

So do you have your workbenches set up so you can start working on it again? Any updates since you brought it home?

Still working on the benches and shelving. I had planned to make more progress last week, but my little man had his Cub Scout pine wood derby event this past Saturday and I spent a lot of time last week working on putting that car together. It was all worth it because his car finished in first place of the whole pack! We brought two trophys home and now get to go race in the local district race in April.

As for YAC - no new updates. I need to work on it, but am just not motivated to do so right now. Oh, well.

Very nice build and I will be watching the progress and I do have a particular fondness for the '67s
