Thanks, Ben! I know "drilling and tapping" is really a pretty minor hurdle but I very am happy it is done.

Just finished reading your build thread. Very good read, thank you for posting the detailed pictures early on in the restoration. I am in the early stages of repairing rust on my 1968 and this is very helpful. I can't to hear some sound clips of the car running! Do you have any plans for EFI?

Thanks ryeguy. I am glad to know what you saw may have been helpful. The pictures I have taken are more for me and remembering what all I have done, but I am glad to share them on this build thread with everyone.

Yes, I do plan to go EFI. I am looking at one of the systems that has the EFI in the throttle body. Holley is about to introduce a system that looks almost exactly like a 4150 style carb, and I am leaning toward possibly going that route because I think it looks pretty subtle. I am not going to say my car is going to be a "sleeper" by any means, but there are certain items that have an "old school" look to them that I think would fit well with the SBC I am using.

We may be a few months away from actually starting this motor, but I hope to share a decent video of it running when I can.

Yes, it has been a long time since my last posting, but I just could not wait to post these teaser pics. That is how I roll.

      Excuse the mess.

I hope to have tires and it sitting on the ground again in a couple of weeks. :-)

Yes - it looks like I need bigger brakes. No - I won't be getting any.

Thanks, Ben! I have a feeling that once I have tires on them and I see it sitting on the ground (those pics to obviously follow) I will get an instant rush of extra motivation to get this thing finished! Or at least driving. :-)

I got tires mounted on the wheels today which means I could not get home quickly enough to put them on and get the thing back on the ground! There is a non-running Jeep parked next to it, but I hope to push the Jeep out onto the driveway and get some better sides shots of this, but I am really pleased with how they both look and fit. There is obviously a lot of adjustment to the ride height that is still needed, and of course an alignment, but I think it should only get better!

And, yes - the gas tank is getting painted black, too.

This thing is awesome! Not sure how I missed it (especially since the build thread is almost identical to mine). Looking good!

Thanks, Dan. I have been through your build thread and really like the color you chose. I was torn between going more towards the blue like you did, but I went with my gut and stuck with the green. I really like both of our choices! Yours looks awesome, too!

All this from a guy who's first post was saying something along the lines of "I'm not going to do a lot to it" (in a sense). LOL! You've done a really good job on the car and I like the color too! I can't talk, I bought my '68 in '07 and replaced every panel on the car. Funny how that works huh? Good job on the build!
