Not sure how I've missed this epic thread in the past several years, but man this is awesome! You totally nailed the stance, killer wheels, great progress. I just picked up the Schroth 4 point harness similar to the corbue, can I ask where/how you mounted them? I'm looking at welding some chromoly tubing in the trunk to mount under the package tray, just wondering how you did yours?
Always glad to see a fellow olds guy making the cars even better! Hope to see a youtube video of you ruining those tires soon!Name: IMG_20180318_143454.jpg

Thanks... Yes, not too many Olds guys out here. I mounted them to the rear package tray. Schroth has a reinforcement plate I used that was welded in to prevent shearing. The lap belts are mounted in the factory location of course.

Amazing build. Don’t know how you did it all and still came out with your sanity and the shirt on your back. Great job, really liking the paint scheme. Care looks like it’s going to be lots of fun. How long till you say “done” and “done”???

Just a quick update... Had some road time this summer and car runs good and is getting better the more I drove it as it should with the Holley. I did encounter an issue with my suspension due to the floater housing and the wide z06 calipers. Based on how close the caliper was to the frame, it would press the caliper against the rotor at compression. I ended up pulling the floater and selling it on another forum. I purchased a new Moser semi-float and rear parking brake kit from Kore3. I had the housing powder coated satin black along with my air intake tube. I also finally powder coated my calipers. When I bought the calipers, they were priced with the understanding that they would need to be powder coated. I decided on the Prismatic Illusion Blueberry. Next is getting the calipers reassembled and back on the car.

From the moderate speed drive I did its ok. I didn't get a chance to take it on the highway before the issue with the floater came up and that was a good thing! I'll have it out early enough this year where if the issue is not resolved, I will be able to call DSS in time for a shaft.
I did like the way it continued to run better after each short drive. The Holley is definitely running well.

Hey David, just finished wrapping the car about the same time you made that post. I put a satin white wrap on the car so I can have it one color ad enjoy it this summer. I also completed my LSA swap. I'm working on an issue right now with TPS, but other than that the car is running awesome.

Thanks Ben... I have actually put about 800mi on it since the LSA conversion has been done and it is very enjoyable.

Ill bet. I haven't had much time to spend on the forums for a while and have been out of touch on a lot of builds. I was pleasantly surprised to see boost under the hood. I think back on what a sad deal you went through with the Olds motor but look at where the car is now. Your hard work and patience has really paid off. CONGRATS!!

I have been out of touch also, seems like I wasn't getting emails on my subscriptions. I had gotten caught up in FB Groups. You're right, that was a major setback at the time. It kind of made me push the car where I wanted it to eventually just sooner. Thanks again!
