What another great turnout and race. Weather held out and was an awsome day.

From what I heard the saftey latch was an issue and they took it off so it wouldn't be a problem and ruin it. Maybe someone will have the exact info on it?

Bob said he was having issues with the hood latch, not the safety catch, before the event. Thought it was fixed but the gremlins woke up and it still wasn't secure so he took the hood off just to make sure he didn't crack it up.

best part of this pic is two of these cars blew engines this spring. that's persistence and dedication. Or insanity. You choose. .

Thanks Herb, excellent pics. I was in such a mad dash to get the car back together, I wasn't sure how I'd like the reshaped quarter panels (could never see the car from far away). From this picture, they turned out just as I had pictured in my head. As always great seeing you and Carol.

No problem Ron! It was great seeing you again too! Your car is one of Carol's favorites so she tends to take a lot of pictures of it! Glad they were of use to you! BTW, I signed up for Track Daze at Summit Point (11-12 July). I'll forward the info to you.

They were really great pics. Thanks Herb and Carol. And Ron, get you arm back in the car, You know better than the elbow out the window,LOL. The reshaped quarters look great. Glad to see the crash didn't slow your lap times too much either. Sorry I was unable to make it up. Hopefully I am getting over this stubborn case of pneumonia. Mike

Certainly missed the Farringtons and Steveo as well. The pictures helped. I'm trying to get to VIR for the UTCC weekend in July. Obviously health and a scattered rearend in the Firebird have to be fixed, but I'm working on both. I really want to be there to see the look on Howell's face after he has driven the Uphill Esses above a hundred. It is a religious experience. I'm thinking Steveo already knows what I'm talking about. Bill and Steve are in for a great time at VIR.
