RTMC - A few photos from Saturday's autocross event.

Saturday turned out to be another great day for the RTMC event. There were close to 60 cars registered to autocross. The Nashville Speedway is a cool backdrop for this event and the course setup by the SCCA guys was a good challenge too. Here are a few photos throughout the entire day. Not too many safe places to go take pictures so most of the shots will look about the same.

Kick it off with the drivers meeting and then walking the course. A challenging course lead to many DNFs for the first few rounds of time trials.

      Group 1 ready to run.

As promised, the PowerBlock guys made it out to the event. Everyone of these guys were gracious and cool to talk with.

      Group 2 ready to run.

At the end of the two sessions there was a shootout with the top 10. And the last few runs had everyone pushing hard. There were quite a few entertaining lap times between Bill Howell and the guys at Gateway Mustang in fighting for those last few spots.

We all just knew that these two would be chasing each other for the fastest lap.

With Finch on the autocross you are always going to get the GO and if not you are going to get the SHOW! Sadly, this time including a good 360 burnout might still beat some others clean laps. DOH!

That would end Saturday. A great cruise on Friday, good competition on the autocross on Saturday, and the best was still to come on Sunday when the cars hit the road course inside the speedway. RTMC gets two thumbs up!

A Brian finch vs Kyle Tucker matchup is worth driving cross country to see on it's own. They can hold their line and drive for times, or they can drift the whole track and put on a show. They are amazing. In my dreams what a show!!!!

What great pics, event and venue. I'm thinking we suggest a move for RTTC III out to Fontana!
