Still apart and it's killin me because it's our best time of year here for track activities! I work on others hot rods all day as a travelling mechanic/builder and find it hard to get my own stuff done. Doing bodywork on panels and pieces I'm modifying now, installing Baers. The Rushforths are here now that I got the new backspacing figured out and gotta have the new Yokohamas mounted.

I think it's time to dredge this thread up to point out something I found. Looks like the new Transformers movie character Bumblebee is going to get a suspiciously familiar makeover.

      lets have a look see.

this is ESPECIALLY damning when you look back at the first posts in this thread at the flares. Even the mirrors are the same.

Damn, yo. they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'd be honored, if not a little pissed off.

Bump cause this needs to be seen. The more I think about this the more wrong it gets. Now Vengeance will be seen as a bumblebee clone going forward to every little kid who doesnt know better. And that makes me sad.

Too many details are the same. It's a 67, the wing windows, the mirrors, the wheels, the spoilers and even the door handles are the same. Vengeance frontpaged on reddit a few months ago. That must have been right when michael bay saw it and decided he wanted one. The thing is, now his car will be made into toys, and be plastered onto t-shirts and lunchboxes. Every child will know that car. And the credit will go to the transformers movie. Not where it belongs.

Wow. That's a real drag. Now there will be a million copies of Vengeance's '67.

I think you need to contact whats his face at NewGen and find out who bought a set of those wheels. Contact them and give them an earfull.

Contact the company that was contracted to build the cars for the production studios. There is no way that car wasnt built off a picture of yours. That would piss me off!!

Imitation is the best form of Flattery, I'm still going to Watch the Movie. Cause I just like Transformers.
