1964 TT LS Chevelle at the Roadster Shop

We've been really moving on this 64 Chevelle to get it in and back out on the road for the first nice day of spring. A local customer had this 64 as a summer daily driver, but ended up getting a little carried away with the build. (if anyone can believe that!) Another shop in our area built him a nice twin turbo LS motor, exhaust, disc brake, and suspension upgrade. Well, after making 600 + HP at the wheels, the little 235 rear tires had met their match. Ron brought the car in to us initially talking about mini-tubbing the body and narrowing the chassis. After some discussions, we decided going with a full chassis would be the way to go. We are using several of the original parts like his rear end and brakes that are basically brand new.

The plans for the rest of the car are pretty simple. The exterior, engine, wiring, and interior are pretty much staying as is. We are putting a chassis under the car, doing the exhaust, a narrowed stainless tank, fuel lines, and mini-tubbing the body to get a 335/30R20 under the back.

In addition to the tire size in the rear, Ron also really wanted to lower the car and get rid of that oh so familiar late 70's muscle car stance with the rear of the car way up in the air.

Here is the car as it arrived

Man I love this '64. It was sweet before, but with your chassis it'll be over the top. Wonder if he is gonna sell any of those front suspension parts? lol

Thanks guys. it should be a pretty mean "sleeper" with the stock look inside and out. The owner does want to sell the rest of the parts that came off the car. I'll PM you a list of what we have for it on Monday.

Here are a few quick update pics after the wheels were installed this evening. We have the majority of the assembly completed and are looking to get some test drive miles in by the end of the week.

Forgeline DE3P's 18x9 and 20x12. Wheels are a matte silver with polished hoops.
