Sweet Fairlane! The girlfriend and I are in the early stages of finding a clean Fairlane to build a similar beast ourselves. I've got a 351W and a toploader from a previous project and are trying to find a worthy vehicle for updating. We probably won't get serious in our search until later next year but enjoy seeing vehicles such as your, great inspiration for us.

Very cool! Fairlanes aren't easy to find. That's why we like ours, cause you don't see them everyday.

351W and a toploader will be fun! I hope to put a Tremec in mine someday.

If anyone is interested, here is a link to some pics of the Fairlane while it was getting worked on at the Hot Rod Factory.

      http://www.hotrodfactory.net/groups/...ges.php?aid=81

Some of the pics aren't the best, so I'll post some better ones soon. The guys at the Hot Rod Factory were super cool to deal with. First class operation. Very high quality work. If you call, ask for Rich.

NICE ride! Love the lines of that car. It has a great stance. I saw your Avatar in a post you made in another thread and had to see what was up. Wasn't feeling the wheels at first BUT they look great on the car. Would love to see some outside shots.

Thanks much! Will post outside pics in the Spring. Winter is in full swing here in MN. Suppose to get another big snow storm tomorrow.

      Nice car.

Here's a pic of my father-in-law's car. He bought his new in late '67, and it wass JUST like yours (ivy gold exterior/interior XL), except his originally came with a 390. I helped him restore the car about 10 years ago now. His has a basically stock suspension/body/exterior with the exception of custom front and rear springs to lower the car, hand made steel thunderbolt style hood, and the Vintage works 17" rims. The engine now has Performer RPM heads/intake, Holley 750 CFM carb, custom Schneider cam, and FPS headers. We had it dyno'd at JBA and the Dyno shop in San Diego where it put down about 360 HP at the rear wheels.

Very cool! Though I think he should of kept it the original color. Looks really nice! Fairlanes rule! :-)

      Wheel and tire size/specs?
      1965 Falcon Hardtop

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

Off the top of my head, the wheels are 18" Centerlines - COMPETITION SERIES - STAGE II. 4.5" backspace. The tires are BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW. The rears are 275 and the fronts are 235. Had to narrow the rear end a bit to get them to fit. They are tucked in nice and tight!!
