Anyone with Windows 7 Media Player Problems
So I upgraded laptops from a xp to a windows 7 version. Natually I transfered all my music over to the "my music" folder. Makes sense right?
Now, it's under libraries, music, but the player won't find it or recognize where it is. If I open the files separatly they'll play one at a time, but not continous.
Any ideas on how to get it to find the music? I tried adding it all to one big playlist, but it still doesn't come up when you click on artist, or genre. Just the 3 samples that come with windows.
Try to keep the jargon simple for me, I'm not super savvy on computers.

Fishtail, You will be best to save all the music to a separate external hard drive then detach it from the computer. Then, you should download the newest version of Window Media Player 11 and get that up and running.
Then attach the external hard drive and reload the media files into the Windows Media Player Library.
