Gear ratio for T400 & Gear Vendors

I am wondering what thoughts you would have on a gear ratio for my car? The car has a T400 with a Gear Vendors overdrive, goal is to have good accel from bottom end up so I can enjoy toying with other cars without having too much gear for crusing on the highway

I am hoping to order the parts in the next week or two and so far the discussion I have had revolve around using a gear set of 3.73...

      Thanks!

The 3.73s would work well, and with the overdrive you may even be able to run 3.91s or 4.10s.
If you do a lot of cruising on the highway, you may be better off choosing a ratio to give you the best cruise rpm at highway speeds.

Don't forget to take rear tire diameter and overdrive ratio into consideration when you choose a ratio for the rear end. When selecting a cruise rpm, don't forget to take your camshaft into consideration. If your revs are to low, it could cause drivability problems.
      Here's a calculator I use a lot.

If there is a hard way to do something, I'll find it!
My other car is a Vega.
