Anyone making Pillar Pods for 79 T/A?

I seen the carbon fiber ones but they are out of my price range. Does anyone know of a company that is making them? 2 or 3 gauge pillar pods for 2nd Gen Firebird/Trans Ams?

For the life of me I cant remember which ones, but one of the autometer ones fits with a little persuasion from a cut-off tool.

I wanted one too, but now I have to do something completely custom anyway due to the rollcage. Its a shame Anvil isnt going to make less expensive fiberglass ones since they are making the carbon fiber. I think a lot of companies miss out on the big picture while trying to just serve their niche.

So true.... I guess I'll have to get by with the hacked up gettho version I have on the car for now... Plus if you buy one Anvil one you'll have to get the passenger side one and then the tops for the door cards as well. LOL!!!!

Face it fauxl carbon fibre just doesn't cut it now a days...

You would think with all the second Gen F bodies there would be a market. More than for trucks!

We now have all of our A-pillars with guage pods available in fiberglass as well at a lower entry level pricing. We also have close out panels, inner fenders, some guage panels in stock in fiberglass. Also, you can special order any part we offer in fiberglass that we don't already have in stock.

If your wanting something low cost get an abs universal pillar pod off eBay for $30-75 and fiberglass/bondo into your stock pillar. Heck the stock pilar is made of steel...so it would be way easy to do.

Another option is getting one that's pretty close, warming with a torch to make it pliable and then pressing it into place. Nobody made one for a convertible so that's what I did, worked out ok. Not ideal, but not bad either.

On amazon you can find a gauge pillar pod for a 79 camaro. BUT, the only thing i dont trust is when you look up the autometer part number its for a honda accord. but amazon says it will fit. so i didnt get. went universal.
