Any 96 Roadmaster/Imapla SS owners here???

My folks gave my son a 96 Roadmaster sedan for a b-day/HS graduation present. He bought a sub box and amp for it. Getting ready to install it in the trunk in the next few days. Where is the best/safest place to run a power wire through the front firewall. The power wire set he bought is only 18 feet long so it will probably need to run down the passenger side.

probably the best and easiest way to do it would be to run down the frame rail as the car has a full frame anyways then come up wherever he see fit. drill a hole and MAKE sure to use a grommet as a friend of mine didn"t listen to me and found out the wrong way. otherwise try to locate a good spot that is to locate from both sides of the firewall and drill ( inside to out) is much easier and more room. again use a grommet

Lift off the bottom rear seat and there should be a couple of grommets on the floor there. I believe they are drain hole plugs. Make a hole in one and run the wire thru there and along the frame until you get to the battery. I did this on my Caprice after exploring all the other options and for me this was the best way to go. HTH.
