67 Camaro Pro-Touring on a Budget
I know you guys need more camaro builds so I figured I'd share mine. I'm 16 and building a pro touring 67 Camaro SS/RS, or as close to pro touring as I can get. The body is in great shape except for the quarters which I'm trying to replace now. The floor is pristine and already primed, trunk pan is good, roof is pristine, it's really in great condition. So far this is what I have for the car
- Custom Subframe with vette control arms , disc brakes, and QA1 coilovers
- Heidts 4 Link on 12 bolt
- Rack And Pinion Steering
- Ididit column
- Detroit Speed subframe Connectors that need to be installed
- Rear disc conversion
- Detroit Speed Mini Tubs that need to be installed
- Dakota Digital Guages
- Wilwood Master Cylinder
- Procar Racing Seats
- All the glass, all the emblems, new carpet, new outer wheel wells, hideaway headlights
I know I'm missing some things but I believe that's all the important stuff. I'm in the process of trying to replace the quarters. I have never done any body work like this but I talked to a guy about doing them and he came and looked but never got back to me. And the other prices I got were really just out of my range right now. If I mess up then I lose the 200 I paid for the quarter, so it's worth the risk to me. I have a fairly good eye and fully understand high and low spots and all that good stuff. I think I can pull it off with the help of the many internet articles. After all, it is just metal and it can all be fixed. Let me know if I'm an idiot. The plan for power is an LS with a 6 speed. On the lookout for one so if anyone has one laying around let me know. The car is going to be my daily driver by the way, and I'm trying to move pretty quickly since I turn 17 soon
