In-tank fuel pump good for carb and EFI both?

Found a leak in my gas tank so it's time to replace it. I'd also like to ditch my Carter mech fuel pump for an electric in-tank and plumb a good return line, etc since it is coming apart.

Right now I'm still running a carb, but would like to convert to EFI one of these days. Are there any submerged pumps available that would support lots of horsepower and work well at low pressure for carb and higher pressure for EFI? I am hoping a Walbro 255HP might do the trick...but I know regulating a higher pressure pump down to 5psi for my carb might be difficult. I have a bypass regulator already plumbed with -6AN lines, but I'm wondering if I will need an even bigger return line.

As far as the tank goes, I was thinking a stock tank with a sump should do the trick, and I can add a good baffle, etc. with my MIG.

      In Tank Fuel Pump

Install a 99 - 02 Camaro / firebird fuel pump module in the stock tank.
