      Stripped Alt. Stud

I accidentally stripped the threads on the alternator output stud by using the wrong size nut.

Can I pop the case open and replace just the stud?

      Thanks,
      Nick

EDIT: Local starter/alternator re-builder gave me a couple studs from his inventory. So, yes they can be replaced separately.
