Custom Built trophy for a local car show!! Using old engine parts

This weekend is the first CRuizing the Capitiol CAr show in Tallahassee, FL. I was contacted a couple of weeks ago and asked to bring out Shop beater and Freedombird. They also asked Jerry, Josh and myself to be in charge of picking "best of show". I told them I would do it and supply the trophy. SO I got to looking around the shop and realized I had a tone of take off engine parts and misc crap. So I let me creative juices flow and came up with what you see below. Should be a great thing for someone to get, you sure not gonna get another one at a car show!! I'll be adding some graphics and decals today

      Parts used
      (2) 400 pontiac pistons and rods
      (2) used Champion plugs
      (2) pawn shop wrenches
Pontiac 400 Timing gears and chain
      48 dodge brake drum

      The Piston Cup!

very I had much rather take that home than the typical trophy you see at shows and sporting events.

Very cool! Have fun judging, I would do a horrible job because I usually like everything at a show, even if it is flawed, I appreciate what goes into a project.

That is a sick trophy, way to use what you have and some creativity. You have to get a picture of the person face when they see that trophy it'll be priceless.

did you use metric wrenches to keep the winner from wanting to cut them off and use them or return them to Sears for new?

You should have it powder coated with a cool looking rippled or hammered powder.

Coated or not, that's a pretty cool trophy for some lucky hot rodder!

Note the trophy on the left...

      best one I've seen.

He used 3 flywheels, 8 billet rods, spark plugs, and two cams.

The rods were damaged ones from the speed shop down the road.

Here is a couple that I made for a show that one of my buddies puts on. The flat on the crankshaft one is where the show plaque goes.
Not great, but I'd like to have 'em!

Metric wrenches were sacrificed so that the SAE can live on....LOL
