      Awesome build and pics! Could you post a photo from the rear of the car looking down over the rear spoiler to show how it aligns to the side of the car? I order my spoiler in and the fitment is terrible and seems too narrow.

      Here's a pro-tip for everyone. Don't leave crap lying around that could fall on your car. I had a tall piece of IKEA furniture in a box that I hadn't yet assembled leaning up against the small room for my air compressor. I was getting a chair out of the room for my wife to sit on and it dislodged an 8 foot tall piece of particle board that went sailing down and put a nice half dollar size dent in the worst possible place: the rear fender. (Luckily?) my wife was around; otherwise I probably would have picked up the nearest wrench and hurled it into the drywall.

      I'm wondering if I can get away with painting this section of the car without having to paint the entire back half. It may not have even gotten into the base coat but I can't really tell. What are my options here without borrowing the GDP of Fiji to get this fixed?

      Hard to see in the pic but I would try paintless dent repair first. It might not be perfect but will minimize the body work. A good paint guy should be able to blend the repair without repainting the whole panel if the paintless doesn't work.

      Thanks. I might try that, although there do appear to be some deep scratches in the clear. Not sure I'm ready to drop a few grand to paint some of the panels, so perhaps I can get by with this in the near term.

      If I do end up having it painted at some point, will they be able to match the paint fairly easily (it's black..?) or will I have to try and find the paint code? I bought the shell already painted so that might be difficult.

      youll be surprised what the paintless dent removers can get out man.. you should try.. just make sure its a reputable one as the russian guy in the dodge intrepid is not going to touch something that nice.

      I feel for you- my dads barns are full of... well everything and I think every dent his cars have had in the past 10 years are from falling rakes, ladders, pool equipment, etc.

      I put a nice ding in the side of my 69 Charger when I didn't fasten down both sides of a metal pipe I was cutting. Lucky it was on the decal and not too visible.

      Like others have said- try pdr, some of those guys are amazing.

      I put a nice ding in the body of mine too. I know a guy in the PDR business and I am waiting till he has some slack time to come over and work on it. He said it will be a little more difficult because of the heavier gauge metal in the older body panels but he thinks he can get it out.

      The car looks great man! We have a guy here that does PDR as well and I've been amazed by some of the dents I've seen him remove. I'd say that someone that's talented in that area could get that out with no issue.

      If the dent can come out I can probably live with the scratches for a while.

      I had a guy come by my work to do some repairs. Some travel, some don't.

      Damn, I can't believe my last post was 5 years ago! Lots has happened since then: I had to leave the state for a 2-year construction project, popped out a couple of kids (well, my wife did, but hey, men can have babies now too I guess? ), switched companies, and I'm finally getting settled back down. Luckily I haven't had to move and I'm still in the same tiny house with a huge garage. It's really been almost 10 since I've put any real miles on her; I've finally got a few months window to try and get her back on the road, but there are a few hiccups.

      Looks like my Hydratech Hydroboost system is leaking a good bit in several places, probably originating from the clown who first installed it. Hopefully someone here has a similar experience. I would post in the drivetrain forum but it looks like the Hydratech folks don't post much here anymore.

      1) This fitting on the hydraulic power booster is leaking power steering fluid between the fitting and the booster. Is this really an o-ring seal? It's been 10 years since I put this in, so I'm not even sure if this is the correct one. It has a flare also, so it's gotta be one or the other - I assume the flare is the sealing mechanism due to the high pressure.

      2) This one is...not good. It LOOKS like it's leaking brake fluid (this is the connection that connects to the aluminum clutch reservoir) here at this hose clamp, so I assume it's at atmospheric pressure here. I remember putting more torque than I wanted to on this plastic fitting, but it's still leaking. Should I ATV silicone it? This just doesn't seem like a great design, but perhaps I just need to put the mega torque on it? Also, I seem to get moisture inside the clutch reservoir too, which causes this battery acid looking grunge when it reacts with the brake fluid.

      Was just about to get her back on the road until the inspectorman failed me on low rear tire tread. Guess I'll just have to burn the rest off before I go back in for inspection.

      They also couldn't align it (posted in another thread here) because they need to move my driver a-arm in a little and it's going to hit my power steering pulley. I'm having some problems with hydroboost power steering whine, so I may have to bite the bullet and buy a different PS pump.
