I liked the look of the car with the hockey stripe, but I really like the above pics with the wheels/stance, painted rockers, etc. It has been cool in every form.

I like it without the trim on the rocker... Now just needs the tail panel blacked out.

At the track the morning crowds were looking good

afternoon on friday, the times looked fine and I didnt need to run any of the lines I found in the morning and was holding just fine

On Saturday the group started off running times for warm-ups just as fast as we finished with and then Brett Vokel threw down the hammer!
and ran a 54.xxx time!!! some were he found a 3 second short cut? wow!

then Rob Mcgregor in Hellboy ran a crazy 56.517 lap!! jumping into 2nd, oh damn I am in for it now

thats when I new I had to put on my big boy pants and run my lines and show my hand and I threw down a 55.953 to get back into second

Then Rob ran again and Hellboy pushed a 55.522 run to take back second

I knew it was my last time to beat-up on those optima cars with my home built 68 Camaro!! and I ran a 55.732 but it wasnt enough, I needed just a few more ponies on the track, but My little car known as Plain Jane dosn't know any better so she just keeps chasing down any thing I put in front of her!!

it was a great weekend with good friends and some more made! and on a side note in street machine My Girlfriend came in 5th place chasing down John Hotchkis, finishing on the leader board at HER FIRST EVENT! she was awesome! Thanks to Brett and Rob for making the race fun and extra thanks to Rob for allowing me to help with the Wounded Warrior Project all weekend! see everyone at the track
This narration got me so excited for you. Running a home built car up against these manufacturer's builds and beating them with their own parts is pretty awesome.

love the car! Curious, where do you buy the arms that support the front spoiler? Also how wide is that front spoiler in the middle? looks wider than OEM, thanks!

heres my test mule frame section

I can look at how components all work together before I decide on what to try
So you changed over to the ridetech spindles when you went to the Tru-Turn?
Do you have any hesitancies about the CPP C5 spindles? They seemed to perform fine for you.
Did you do any mockup measurements/testing with the Tru-Turn and CPP C5 spindles?

I had a sort of Tru-turn on my car before..the tru-turn...I had custom bent some steering arms used tall ball joints and had a global west cat 5 centerlink(no longer made), I tested the ridetech kit and it worked well with all off the shelf parts..(easy to replace or repair) ..my stuff was custom and some no longer made....the CPP spindles worked well it just seem to need more camber gain to keep the contact patch as flat as I wanted and if i added a tall ball joint with the CPP it worked well (in test) but the combo of the two wouldn't allow my 9.5 in wide rim to fit...the drop on the ridetech spindle helped the rim alignment all fit and the ridetech spindle was taller giving me the dynamic camber gain i was looking for

if the CPP spindle would have had a drop in it like the ATS spindles, that would have raised the rim upward allowing a tall ball joint to fit also and it would have been good.....I suggested that to CPP and they told me there was no plans for a dropped spindle...or a taller spindle to increase the camber gain more

Someone asked as well and you answered them, so I found them at Speedway motors. I also found some for my Nova from a company called United Pacific.

heres the 7 inch measurement actually about 6.5

then I made a simple card board filler patch template

the transferred to a thin aluminum diamond plate

bend it to fit the original template

and the I fitted it back into the opening

      hope this helps!!
How did you secure the diamond plate? Bolts? Tabs?
