      Rear Disc called Varga anyone.....

      I just purchased a 12 bolt Moser rear end and it has disc brakes on it. There is the name "Varga" stamped on the caliper. can anyone help me identify this set up, and how it is. Attached is a pic of it.

      The Varga caliper is most likely from a Mustang, probably in the 94-04 range, my 03 GT had that caliper on the rear.

      I've seen those on Explorers and T-Birds, too. Ford stuff.

      It fits over a vented disc, so mustang stuff is out. I would say 87-88 T-bird/early SHO.

      That's what I have;

      The same Varga caliper is used on the 03-04 Cobra which has a vented rotor, it just has thinner brake pads compared to the V6/GT's.

      Ford has used Varga brake stuff out of Brazil for 25 years or so now in most of their products, the SN95 Mustang setup uses a small caliper on a couple different rotors (the 10.5 solid rotor on GTs, the 11.65x.62 vented rotor on Cobras), the SVO Mustang/Mark VIII/Taurus/Turbo Coupe caliper is bigger, there's a bunch of other combos as well.
