      On a Motorcycle its not called a VIN, Its listed as a EIN on the title and is listed as ENG NO on the registration.



      And on Stolen equipment if the insurance company paid out on a claim it is technically owned by the Insurance company, you can write a letter asking for the engine and how much they would want for it. I have done this quite a few times working for a motorcycle dealer.
      The rule is measure twice and cut once. My problem is I still measure with a mic and cut with an axe!
