      CTS seats in my chevelle?

      Hi Folks-
I'm looking at a set of black leater Caddy CTS seats to put in my 70 chevelle. They are very comfortable, and have a 3 point seat belt built in. Has anyone done a similar swap? I would like the safety upgrade and plan on reinforcing the mounting locations as necessary. Thanks,
      MD

FYI- The CTS is a 4 door so they will not fold forward to gain acces to the rear... Now if youhave a cage and dont need/use the rear seats... you should be good...

I had a cts V and the seats are about 80pounds or so each and didnt offer much G support just for some info. They are comfortable though.

Do you know of any other seats with an integrated seat belt? I'm not looking so much for lateral support but more for comfort and safety. Thanks,

If its just comfort ans safety get the CTS seats I could have fallen asleep many times on road trips lol!! Ill look for some other seats though, see if I can help. My seats were black leather and suede I thought about doing the same in my 67 Lemans.

I was just thinking most convertible cars have integrated seat belts.

I meant that all the cars I listed were the convertible, not the coupe in order to have the seatbelts as part of the seat...

Crappy thing about the CTSV seats is that the car is a 4-door so don't plan on them moving forward enough to put someone in the back seat. Or if they do it will be like the 04-06 GTO seats where you have to motor them forward and buck. Lame.

I just bought some CTS-V seats front and back for my 67. I just set them in the car I havent tried mounting them yet. I personally dont care about the back seat as I never put anyone in the back so it doesnt matter to me.

I look forward to having the seats all mounted but I have a long project so not in too much of a hurry but they look good sitting in there

This never was answered although it is old. The seats will require significant modification. I'm 6'5", and cannot sit in the seats as is due to lack of headroom.

Here are a few shots. I'll get more if anyone is interested, but the base would need to be reworked to sit flat with the floor. Also the 68 floor is raised where the bench seat sits. That coupled with the seat being almost 3 inches taller than my old bench seat make it very tight.
