I am planning on fitting my CF hood tomorrow on my second gen and I will be installing my hood latch on that. I also plan on taking a lot of pictures. I forgot to order the hard anodize latch after we emailed. Can I still get that if I order?
      Thanks
      James

      AJSZR2326,

What exactly are you drilling out, is it the casting? I know there is not as much adjustability as the stock steel stamping due to the most common adjustment was hiting the pin with a hammer, did you try moving the lower latch a bit where it mounts to the core support? is it pushing the hood to the drivers side or passenger?

im not a mechanic !and if its not simple to put in ill have issues. i have tried drilling the holes to elongate them but not having the proper tools doesnt help. i dont have a drill press and the material is pretty hard. i dont see how i can move the bottom part that is attatched to the core support .my car is 40yrs old and nothing really lines up perfect. i thought i had it lined up perfect then when i closed the hood it wouldnt open. i ended up taking a screwdriver and prying it back up after damaging the paint. fixing my paint is going to cost me a lot more than the latch. i finally got fed up and put the stock one back on.

I put mine on an aftermarket fiberglass hood and it fit/lined up perfectly. I didn't even really mess with the side gaps or height of the hood. Sounds like your car has some issues...

Very nice Paul I'm glad you like it, where are you getting your spring from? I may want to carry it as an option.
