car looks great - one of my favorites of all time, ofcourse i enjoy pretty much anything that someone puts this much time and effort into

it looks like the floor is raised for the seat mounts - you could proabaly flatten or even recess the seat frames a little into the floor, with a power seat you'll still be able to raise it if someone short were driving - looks like you may gain an inch or two - just a thought....

      Looks good Rich,

So is this Tylers old fab guy? He open his own shop or is this at home?
      Just curious.

Thanks but the fab is all Russ, I'm just the guy with the vision....

Next is to raise the entire drive shaft tunnel a couple inches, refab the rear floor pan and build a new tunnel the cover the T56... We're going to come up with a custom dash instead of trying to modify the factory dash. I also want to raise the trunk floor to raise the the fuel tank a little. It was full of small holes anyway...

I was at the local Pick-a-Part the other day and grabbed an S10 wiper motor. Then I got a copy of the wiring diagram... I think I'm going to ditch the factory wiper for the S10.. I just need to figure out the switch diagram and find a switch that will work and look good in the car... before I mod the firewall again....

      Nice looking Charger!

Sorry, I just wanted you to be prepared for when someone walks up to the Chevelle and asks "you got a Hemi in it?"

Sunday update: Got the body bolted back down to the frame with new poly mounts. Decided that we will not need to raise the trans tunnel all the way to the back like I had originally thought which saves fab time and expense... Russ cut some pieces to raise the rear footwells... This is because I had the frame braced (not by Russ) without the body to confiirm measurements. Its only an inch. The backseat/trunk close out panel is cut and fit but not welded yet. There is a tray for the battery and bracket for the ISIS module under the package tray. Trunk floor is being removed piece by piece and will be raised to tuck a fuel tank.... Sorry; I forgot the camera.

      Progress report:
The rear footwells are tacked into place. They were raised about an inch to clear the frame bracing (that was done without the body on the frame). There is also a patch panel for a piece of rusty floor... The pic shows before it was welded in.

Here is the new trans tunnel. Its tacked in place and will need some work to get it to meet the rest of the factory tunnel...

dont worry about mating that trans tunnel to the driveshaft tunnel because your next step is to cut that out and replace it as well. well thats if youre like me and you never want to actually finish and drive your car.

      keep up the good work!

Well I finally got back to the shop. Bolted some of the steering pieces back on. Russ made a small piece to transition the new tunnel to the factory floor. The original plan was to make a new tunnel from front to back but for time and cost I'm keeping it factory (for now?)
I had a 3.5" aluminum driveshaft made to connect the T56 to the Moser with 1350 U-joints on both ends...

Got my Walbro GSS340 fuel pump and some small parts. Need to build a cradle to hold a custom built stainless fuel tank. Need to odrer a sheet of stainless to build the actual tank. Need to figure out how to hang the fuel pump in the tank...

slow progress... not overly exciting either....
