Prodigy, what do you use to hold those panels in place? I'd like to do something similar but was wondering the best way to hold the panels in place.

I haven't got any photos to hand but when I participated in Car audio competitions I made the panel templates in card, then MDF covered in leather or capetand and made them tight fitting. Lastly I added strategically placed velcro to hold them in place. You can also buy car door trim popets which are invisible from the front of the panel.

Just finished the metal panels. They will be painted to match the accent color of the roll bar down tubes.

What is a good place to buy the supplies for something like this? (MDF and carpet)

      Thanks!

I used MDF from Lowes. 3/4" is most common, but if you are worried about weight there is also 1/4" & 1/5", which is what I used. My carpeting is from Curtchfield. It is actually speaker box carpet. They have it in black (mine is black but looks grey from the camera flash) or grey. Or, you could get other materials from a fabric shop like Joann's.

is that mdf stuff strong enough to mount a amp too or would you need to reinforce it?

1/2" would make a good amp rack. 3/4" would be more than enough. You shouldn't need to reinforce the MDF for an amp.

The side panels are the last to go in and hold the frt and rr in place. Each side has a retracting spring-loaded pull (the small round detail you can see) that makes it easy to pull them loose.
