      Scat seats?

Has anyone bought or sat in the Scat Rally 2000 seats?
Part #SCA-80-1000-51L priced around $250 from Summit.

Is this the same seat? If so what is the web address for Kragen so I can check it out. I searched all over the net for Kragen and the auto parts stores associated with that name do not carry any Scat brand seats as far as I could find. I specifically am interested in the Scat Rally 2000 model.

      Thanks

Kragen, Schuck's, and Checker are all the same store. Just depends on where you are in the country as to what it's called.

      Kinda like Blue Ribbon/Hellmans mayo.

I've had them in my 65 Mustang for about 2 years now. Very comfy - as long as you're under ~200 lbs or 38" or smaller waist - otherwise they can be tight...

      scat seats

My friend and I were also thinking about getting the Scat seats. How big are you if you don't mind me asking? I am 5'5", 160 lbs., and a 32" waist so finding a seat that I don't slide around in isn't easy. My frind is about 5'10" and about 180 lbs. I wish I could find them on display somewhere to try them out first.

      Thanks,
      Dennis

I have always used scat procar seats. Very comfy and supportive. never had a problem with the 3 sets I've used. im 220 lbs and 5'8" 38 waist and they're tight in the mid section. you know you're sitting in a good seat when you are in em.

      I agree!

I have had my Scat Procars in my 71 Camaro for about 15 years now and they have been fine for me. I am 5'10" and weighed 225 when I was powerlifting and seats fit like a glove back then with a 36" waist, now I am 195 with a 34" waist and they fit nice with a bit of wiggle room. They look exactly like the photos above, I like the adjustability, relatively light weight, and the nearly horizontal recline (they rest on my rear seat cushions).

how much ajustability do these seats have? I know they recline but can the seat bottoms be adjusted in the front for height.. Not sure what thats called but thats real important to me, as i like the seats high in the front to get my knees up.

      Make your own adjustable setup

      Steve,
Good idea, my Scat seat brackets do not adjust as you desire, but you could find the sweet spot you want and fabricate a small piece of metal to raise the front of the seat some. I never thought of that but will when I reinstall the seats next year.
