69 Camaro RS build about to start. woohoo

After more than 2 years of waiting on the body shop, I've FINALLY got me some COLOR!!! It still feels like a dream I should wake up from soon....

The body has a quick color only, no clearcoat yet. They're re-checking for bodywork flaws before more color and final clear.
I was just too excited though and had to share these early pics.
Oh, there are 4 coats of color and some clear on the lower cowl.

Well, I actually got the car back at the very very end of 2009. The shop wants to wait to sand/buff it out until after I get the inside stuff done and the engine/tranny in place. The thinking is that any scratches (that are light) would be easier to fix when there's still a thick clear coat on it.

Here's some pics I snapped in December and how she sits now.
I guess the real fun is about to begin! That thought of all the things that need done is a bit overwhelming!

The glass got put in and now the Flush Glass treatment is out of the bag!
She's finally back home in these 2 shots. Woot!
Hmmm. The picture of the back looked better on my desktop before I put it down below.
Maybe I need to 'zoom in' a little and resize it. The flush glass on the back looks fan-freakin'-tastic. If you look close, you can see we filled in the filler panel seams too. (brass filled)

We didn't put the bottem trim on the front glass yet. I just gotta say, for the record, this is one VERY F'N BLUE car!!!

Thanks guys, it is one intense kind of blue. There's so much pearl that it seems it's a different tint of blue or blue/green in every different light!

Unless someone educates me differently, I was thinking something like...
Sound Deadener, carpet, Vintage Air, rubber seals/weatherstripping, side glass, wiring, engine/tranny
