      commander 950 software & wide band O2

Has anyone bought this up grade yet. The part # is 534-188 and is over $700. I'm wondering if this is such a great deal. I know it would be nice. The Pro sofware upgrade alone cost $90, but not sure if it makes tuning better unless you use the wideband o2 sensor. Anyone know if later factory cars are using wideband o2's yet?

VW 1.8T's do for sure, which is why widebands became so affordable a couple years back. The bosch sensor is OE equipment. However, the controlling circuitry is usually built into the ECU, so I don't think it's something you can pull that from a vehicle, if that's what you were hoping for.
