Type II steering noisy?

I just completed an install of type II GM steering pump on a pontiac and took it on my first cruise. The car still has the factory gm steering box. I noticed a pretty noticeable noise when I steer the car. It sounds like a hydraulic cylinder actuating or something like that. I never really noticed much noise from the old style pump unless I max out the steering and then you could hear it groan a little, but this happen every time you move the wheel.

Anyone else notice noise?

You probably need to reduce the line pressure from the pump. Street & Performance sells a kit.

Some questions need asking here.

1) whos pump?
2) remote tank? If so is it mounted higher than the pump?
3) Do you know the PSI of the pump?
4) If it is a part store pump what OE application was it for...
