3rd gen Camaro console in older car

Anybody ever used a 3rd gen Camaro console in one of their oder projects? I have a 70-81 F-body console I was going to use, but there isn't enough room to mount a radio or 3 gauges like I hoped.

Seems like a 3rd gen console has a lot more room to work with.

I really like how this looks. Anybody have more info on it?

The 3rd gen consoles are pretty wide where the shifter and parking brake lever are located. You might have to spread the seats out a little. I know the 3rd gen consoles are a couple inches wider than the 1st gen camaro consoles.

Good point, I didn't think of that. I'm running seats from a 2000 Camaro, which are narrower then stock, so it shouldn't be an issue.

      Thanks for the heads up!

What are you planning on putting this in? The cutlass? Or are you working on a different project?

I have one in my 78 el Camino but they are not that similar to the cutlass a body you have...here is are some pics if it helps any.

hope that isn't too annoying to show off the pics but it seems like there are a lot of questions if i don't show enough of it haha

Josh... I gotta know. Is the e-brake handle functional and if so, how hard is it to adapt to a g-body?
